LATEST THEORIES

What annoys me about Thomas McAllister being red john is that the same actor (Xander Berkeley) acted as a character with a secret organisation already in nikita.

Am I the only crazy one who has ever fantasized about Jane's wife, Angela, being alive and somehow involved with Red John? lol

Obviously this is purely fantasy, but sometimes I like to think about alternative options. Everything is better than a scared old man begging for his life and terrified of pigeons.

I think it would have been cool if there was something shady about the wife. :D

it is quite simple if you remember how Jane operates and the idea of the show has been and is ...at least so far true to.

Jane tried to lure RJ out but going on his own and separating from the CBI in Vegas. He is betting that the actual RJ will miss his playful rival and reveal himself now that Jane is completely out of the picture. That is overly simplified but it is the idea of how Jane operates. McAllister could not have been RJ for so many reasons, such as he was not afraid of heights. Remember how secretively Jane is. Just like RJ. Go figure......

People kept on saying that they dragged the Red John storyline on long enough, but for them to introduce another love interest in Patrick life is quite pathetic, after the season 6 finale, even though it was horrific, puts an end to wether or not he will get together with Lisbon .

One thing I don't understand is that Heller said that "Up until now if you're comparing it to Moby Dick, which is one of the analogies I used to describe the length of the chase, next season the whale has been sighted and they're in the small boats and chasing the whale", isn't that what he said about Red John at the start of season 6.

Bruno Heller if your going to make season 7 about Patrick and Lisbon's love life, just give up now

More news again with a rehash of old. Another new love interest for Patrick Jane to compete with Libson for season 7.

The seventh season of "The Mentalist" will add a new character, according to a report.
TVLine reported
that a rookie FBI agent named Michelle Vega will join the cast of the
popular TV show. According to the web site's spoiler chat, "a new woman
is about to enter Patrick Jane's (professional) life. The CBS drama is
casting the series regular role of Michelle Vega, a rookie FBI agent who
is a student of combat and weaponry and is unfazed by high-pressure
situations (such as when the show awaited that 11th-hour renewal)."
This is the first time that a casting spoiler was revealed for the
series bidding goodbye next season. Despite the spoiler clearly saying
that Michelle Vega will enter Patrick Jane's professional life, how will
this new agent affect Teresa Lisbon? The final episode of season 6
showed Patrick Jane admitting his feelings for Teresa.

Meanwhile show creator Bruno Heller hinted that "The Mentalist"
season 7 will be action-packed and will be filled with thrilling chases.
"Up until now if you're comparing it to Moby Dick, which is one of the
analogies I used to describe the length of the chase, next season the
whale has been sighted and they're in the small boats and chasing the
whale," Heller told Entertainment Weekly report.
Heller could be referring to the long chase that Patrick Jane is
after. However, the show creator also said that the final season will
follow the usual format of new mysteries every week.
To the disappointment of many fans, "The Mentalist" season 7 may have
fewer episodes. Latest talks claimed that the series will have 13
episodes next season to bring conclusion to the series. Moreover, the
series may lose its timeslot on Sunday's primetime due to its poor
ratings in the past.
"The Mentalist" season 7 will be back on air in the fall.

IF

What it all comes down to is if red john really isn't Mcallister. That's the big question. As of 6x8 I probably have to admit that it was true. As pathetic of an ending as it was, that was it. The writers saw the end coming. They decided to without thinking, draw a random name from a hat and pick that guy as RJ. They f'd it up. Totally fubar. So they rushed the ending of a great story while neglecting all things rational. Why'd they rush you ask? They rushed so they'd still have 1/2 a season to do two things....satisfy the jisbon cronies, and maybe with the slightest bit of lick, extend the series one more time with a revamp and change of scenery.

But now what? They got the extension, and can do with it whatever they want. Option 1, 13 episodes of the Walton's incest style. Option 2, BA/Visualize angle to provide a little sense of closure after the RJ fail. Option 3,they decide RJ shouldn't be Mcallister, instead Mcallister was just BA, and was there to deliver a message to Patrick. What message you ask? " the game is over and I won". To my recollection, mcasshole never said the words "I am red john". Instead he was there to give Patrick the message that red john had won. How did he win? He won by convincing Patrick and everyone else that he was Mcallister. Now all he has left to do is wait. Wait for PJ and Lisbon to get together now that their defenses are down. What for them to have a baby. And just as season seven begins, wait for Patrick to leave them home alone.......then season seven starts with another note on the outside of a bedroom in Patricks house.

Grace Van Pelt is Psychic, maybe.

This is a stretch but i have seen a few episodes where i thought to myself that Grace might have "powers".
We all know Grace is all about psychic stuff. She stands up for Kristina Freye hardcore on the day she meets her like she had known her for 2 centuries.
Now my evidence can easily be torn apart but this is what i saw..

-When Wayne is complaining to Cho that he has not had sex since he has been married.
Then poof Gvp is naked in Cbi ready to go and said "i know what you were thinking". I know it could just be female intuition but the way it went down so dramatically makes me feel otherwise.
-Right before Ardilles is murdered, Wayne is driving around. Grace says did you eat tacos? And of coarse Wayne was just about to bite into one.
*This is stood out because of a famous scene with Jane when he was on the phone with Cho and and said "Rigsby don't eat the cupcakes" right as Rigsby was about to eat one.
-also it was weird in the episode when Jane called her out and said she "had a traumatic experience in her past that is so terrifying she has not even said a word about it, not even to herself".
THEN Jane slips into a trance and had a flashback from an old client middle aged with Red Hair.
Jane obviously bullshitted her and the woman committed suicide soon after due what he said.
Then Jane passes out..
It was a weird chain of events.
