Ok, how can the dude who plays Partridge be allowed to reveal that he is actually dead before it's aired? I can't see him being allowed to do that?

Anyway, if Partridge is really dead, i think he was still a part of Red John's circle.

There were so many clues in this season opener that 90% must have been put there to send us off in the wrong direction. 
CBI Ron on his phone just as he bumps into Jane who then receives a call.
The fishing reference from Bertram + he said "i'm many things to many people" etc.
We will see Sheriff McAllister in the next episode, so all of the 7 suspects will be coming back to the surface. 

I genuinely think the list isn't Patrick's real list of suspects, but the list that Red John (over the years) has planted seeds for Patrick to believe they are. But Patrick has seen through this & played along. 
We will have to wait & see, but it's so exciting to be getting closer!  

Jack Plotnick said in an interview yesterday that Partridge really is dead and that there will be a confirmation in the next episode. He also said his voice was never used for Red John's voice.

I guess we have to accept it now, he is dead.:(

I think the list is fake...

1) we only get shown Patricks Reaction to the tape while he is with lisbon. (I am presuming he watched the CD before she chowed it to lisbon) so we don't know his true reaction.

2) He said at first he didn't want to tell lisbon about the list of suspects because she would "act differently" around them, however he seems to make no effort of doing this himself. Brett partridge noticed jane was being off with him, even to the point of asking him "why?" even though Partick is allways disliked him and therefore they've allways not got on, So patrick being funny isnt usually out of character. He was also acting differently with burtram too in lisbons office.

3) i think he meant for lisbon, grace, rigsby and cho to find out about the list, so they would all act funny around the people, lisbon would proably put the tracking bugs on them... therefore leading red john to think patrick really does think he is one of the 7 on the list, making red john belive he is one step ahead as usual.

Just a theory :)

I believe that Red John is Raymond Haffner but that he also Bret Stiles, huh?, some of you might be thinking but just bear with me for a moment.

Red John is connected to visualize, we know that Haffner was "on a wrong path" as a kid, he said that himself. What I believe is that he killed the two visualize members at the barn that was shown in the Red Barn episode. Bret Stiles found out and decided that it would be useful to have a "killer" like Haffner around, so he sends Haffner whenever he has a problem that he needs taken care of. Haffner however really finds that he enjoys killing and can't control his urges and own fantasies so he decides to also kill people that he wants to kill thus creating Red John. Stiles finds out and feels guilty because he realizes that he has created a monster that is the reason why Stiles occasionally helps Jane but also avoids bringing him too close to Red John. 

In this theory I will state why I believe that Raymond Haffner is Red John;
-He roughly matches the description that Rosalind Harker gave about Red John, he is a little on the tall side but other then that he fits perfectly.
-He is a visualize member just like Red John.
-He is an ex-CBI agent, and knows all about the CBI's protocols.
-He is physically fit (Red John managed to outpower Carter Peak, an army veteran who had lost his leg and walked in on Red John killing his wife)
-He owns a security firm and knows about surveillance and counter surveillance techniques, this could explain how Red John would know that the seven suspects where bugged.
-He has a "thing" for Lisbon which explains why Red John has never attempted to hurt her before and also explains why he won't kill her now even though that would be a massive blow against Jane. (Lisbon will appear in future episodes) 
-He is wealthy, he himself owns a large amount of money and he is also funded by Visualize.

All in all I believe that Haffner is Red John.
