Hey all you fans out there!

I honestly think that Red John is more than just one person. I find him a little too random at times and also his knowledge and success rate seems to be little too far fetched...even for a genius/ psychic. So I think that Thomas McAllister, Ray Haffner, and Brett Partridge are all Red John.

Furthermore, I suspect that Thomas, Ray and Brett worked for a Visualize complex at one point during their younger years and went through a horrific experience. In the end they escaped their horrific experience, but they also developed a insane lust for blood and that might be were Mr. Stiles becomes more involved with them; by teaching them a code of conduct to operate by and eventually the name Red John and it's signature under which, they all operate separately.

Cheers, and please share your opinions on this theory!

If Red John is Michael Kirkland, when he finds out about Bob's death, Reede Smith is a dead man!

To get right to it, I believe Michael Kirkland, Bob Kirkland's twin brother is Red John. In episode 4 of this season Bob reveals that he had a twin brother who he believes was killed by Red John. However, if you listen carefully Bob says he only believes Red John killed his brother, but in fact he doesn't know if Michael is dead or not.

Bob explains to Patrick that Michael was a drinker and nothing he did ever helped his brother recover until he met someone that saved him. Bob believes this person was Red John but I believe this person was in fact Bret Stiles.

In an earlier season Bret admits that he knows Red John and that in fact Red John was one of his followers. I believe Bret Stiles saved Michael Kirkland from his alcoholism and helped Michael to discover his true self as Red John.

A few other facts that could support this theory are that Michael is Bob's twin so Red John could easily pass off as his well connected brother Bob. Additionally, if Red John is truly a twin to Bob Kirkland then any time we saw Bob and Patrick together we could have actually been seeing Red John and Patrick meeting.

Another supporting fact is that Bob is a very smart, calculating, and detail oriented individual which stands to reason that his twin would be very much the same. We know for a fact that Red John is calculating, smart and pays close attention to the details.

Furthermore, Michael and Bob Kirkland came from a broken family with an abusive father and a mother who couldn't or wouldn't protect them because she was being abused as well. This could easily explain why Bob Kirkland had a thirst for violence and torture so a twin brother would likely be very much the same.

Not a theory just some thoughts

1) Before he gets shot, Kirkland says to Reede "Why don't you just do it here". This implies that he knows he's gonna get shot and it has to go with how prepared Rob is. From his perspective, all he wants is for RJ to be killed, but once Rob's gonna go to jail he knows that he can't kill RJ himself. I think Kirkland knew that he was gonna get killed but its all part of his plan, as maybe his death can be used as a clue for Patrick to figure out who RJ is or to uncover the tyger tyger conspiracy.

2) I also think that RJ and the tyger tyger conspiracy are two entities and are actually enemies. Throughout the show RJ has been shown that he wants to be Patricks friend and that they can lead a "higher path" together. RJ has also shown that he does not believe what he's doing is wrong and that when he dies people will remember him positively. Maybe RJ is trying to get Patrick to help take out the tyger tyger conspiracy. As for the disappointment when we find out RJ, its possible that some of the people RJ is murdering are actually evil and part of the tyger tyger conspiracy group, so Heller might be referencing that we are going to be disappointed when we painted RJ out to be a villain when potentially he isn't. This would seem to support RJ's thoughts of not being wrong when he murders, and attempting to get Patrick to be his friend.

Why is Partridge at the 5570 West Huron the whole time the surveillance is active in 6x01?

The reason I say he was there the entire time tracking was active was these screen shots.

The screen is show first when Van Pelt first contacts Lisbon to say the tracking is active. The second time is when Lisbon was in her office and got the call directed at her unit. This should the entire time that tracking is active in this episode.

So Brett Partridge was at that house for a while? but why?

I say it's Rigsby just because he's the most "Bruno Heller would pick him" of suspects (least expected & completely out of left field) other than Partridge not being dead.  Plus he & Van Pelt are leaving the series, and given Van Pelt's success with men, Rigsby being RJ is the icing on the horrible cake of Van Pelt's love life, which leads to her exit from the show to "put herself back together again" after the discovery & death of Rigsby/RJ.

The DHS building in Sacramento where Kirkland works is actually the Department of Energy building in Washington DC.  More Mentalist trickery where Kirkland is concerned.
