My list of suspects:

#1:Raymond Haffner : He had a phobia just like Miller said. He has a lot of friends in the FBI , CBI and Vizualize. He is old enough to be Red John. The woman who entered the CBI told Patrick that Red John was from Vizualize.
#2: Jason Cooper: He appeared in "Red Tattoo" but he wasn´t one of the suspects and HE WASN´T INCLUDED IN THE INVESTIGATION. My point is that Raymond Haffner was there to represent Vizualize but ... what did Cooper do? Did he went there to represnt Haffner?!. He is also a suspect of Vizualize and the wowen told Patrick that red john was from Vizualize.
#3: CBI Ron: Bruno Heller used the expression : "Red John is like a "where is Waldo?" , and the only one who is closer to that expression is CBI Ron.
#4 Gale Bertram : He was in the extended list of suspects of Patrick. He is in the actual list. He was

one of the suspects of Todd Johnson´s death. In chapter 24 Season 3 he was nervous when Timothy entered the shopping , he didn´t stop to look at him. Another point that Timothy´s newspaper was in the same page AS BERTRAM NEWSPAPER!.

Connections of Red John:

The only group that appeared was : Reede Smith , Thomas McAllister and Gale Bertram. I think that they are the head of the "Tyger , Tyger" group.

I think the list is not fake, in the preview we see the 5 suspects all together. so what does this say..
that the list is right. one of them is red john, heller also said it himself.
so dont post theories that Bob Kirkland, Brett Partridge, Patrick Jane is red john because that is just foolish.
My money is on McAllister, i dont know exactly why but...
 - Reede Smith, to fat, and he is part of the Tyger Tyger group if their is a group. also can be a distraction. but he is not red john.
 - Bret Stiles, he is old and why would he feel the need to be a serial killer, he is smart enough but he is the leader of visualize. that is everything for him everything he has fought for so hard. If patrick discover him as red john he wil lose everyting.
 - Gale Bertram, leader of CBI, possibility, a logical suspect for red john but he is a bad poker player, so he is a great actor and manipulater or just not red john, i go for the last one. he is not stupid but i think not smart enough.
 - Ray Haffner, he was my number 2, but my reason that he is not red john is that he once allready fel for a trick of PJ when he was his boss and if he was red john that would be a perfect possition i think so why give up on it, because he is not red john. 
if McAllister is not red john i give Haffner a good chance

so my conclusion is Thomas McAllister

Who are your least favorite choices for Red John? Mine are:

1) McAllister - I will be very disappointed, even angry, if he is revealed as Red John.

2) Smith - Too brutish. He's enforcer type, not mastermind type.

3) Bertram - Too obvious with his CBI position, but also he is not smart enough. He is duplicious and politically smart, but he isn't cunning and charming enough.

4) Stiles - Would be too obvious, and too old.

5) CBI Ron - I would be annoyed if it were him.

6) Minelli - I've always thought Minelli was a genuine nice guy, I don't see him hurting anyone.


My favorite choices for Red John:

1) Kirkland - Dead. Would have been a wonderful Red John since he was such a formidable character. I am not excluding that his twin is Red John. I'd be okay with that.

2) Wayne Rigsby - I've never thought he was Red John, I've scoffed at all the theories that it's someone on Jane's team, but there was a real good Rigsby theory recently posted that actually convinced me it could be him. Now I'm almost going to be disappointed if it isn't!

3) Walter Mashburn - The parallel between he and Jane with Lorelei and Lisbon would be delicious.

4) Dean Harken - Formidable, controlling, and he has access to poisonous substances and a scientific understanding of poisons. He is also a red head and a jerk. This guy would be a solid choice for Red John and has long been one of my favorites.

5) Brett Partridge - I would LOVE to see him transform from creepy geek to criminal mastermind psycho as he is revealed to be Red John. I imagine his whole face coming off like a mask as he reveals his true self. He is my current #1 choice, and I believe that he is not truly dead. We did not see his body and if the people on scene work for him, then that makes it completely plausible that he faked his own death.

I found this on an IMDB message board. Somebody tweeted this photo, which is from the upcoming episode of The Mentalist. It shows Jane and several of the suspects, one of whom has his shirt off, and apparently NO tattoo.
