It's simple Red John is Michael Kirkland. In season 5 episode 7 when Jane met Michael Kirkland (because it was the only time when Bob wears a beard, that told us that it was Michael not Bob) when the two shook hands together, jane was walking around with this blue tea cup (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxqpy8H35os 1.30 min), which destroys in the last episode the great red dragon. And you can see in janes eyes, that he realizes this and then he goes to the church to finally meet Red John alias Bob Kirkland. And he is also the only one who fits in the description from the blind woman and the psychiatrist.

Don't make me confused with all those Michael Kirkland theories..
My mind is actually believing a little that Michael Kirkland was the one killing Jason Lennon. He did asked do you recognize me? Whether Jason saw his brother or not. Jason didn't see Bob Kirkland, so Michael was free to kill him without a risk.

The guy on the promo is really Sheriff Thomas McAllister, I did prove that with a screen capture in my previous theory. His stuntman also said that he will star on the next episode.

I will get crazy if he is like Bertram also a Red Herring made by Bruno Heller. It would make it totally correct why Bertram took Thomas' stuff, they are working together. Hence the three dots.
What if the Red Herrings (Bertram and McAllister) are getting shot the next episode. And Michael walks in the church and says "The game's over and I won."

Going from the fact that Jane shook the hands of RJ and RJ is one of the seven men which is sort of agreed upon by RJ and Jane themselves, and cueing in the mystery-shroud-disappeared twin brother of Bob Kirkland and the fact that his childhood was not all well....It must be Bob Kirkland / the twin / or both who personify RJ.
