I'm a strong believer that Brett Partridge is RJ, but I have been rewatching episodes and something about Kirkland has me confused. I thought that maybe some of you Kirkland fans could help me out.

In the episode where Kirkland kills the guy that was in the coma, he asks the guy if he had ever seen him before. Knowing that he has a twin, that question makes sense, but knowing that he was also looking for RJ why was that the only question he asked? Was that Bob or Michael? It makes no sense why he wouldn't ask him who RJ was or what he looks like.

Ok, I played it dirty. Every non-regular cast member get signed in the show for a determined amount of episodes right? I'm doing it really dirty.
This is. The last appearence of Gale Bertram for Season Six in on the episode "Red John".

he looks alot like Patrick Jane ,I would say that Red John could be his son all along ..PJ is in his middle 40s ,this man is 25 years old ..PJ couldve had a woman pregnant and he run away..

This theory is possible !!!!!

Here is a theory for the those who support that it could be Michael Kirkland. I think the Bloody smiley face could be something from the twins child hood. When Kirkland first saw it he knew it was his brother doing the killings but wanted to find him for himself, he then saw how RJ aka his brother had taken a special interest in PJ so he made sure he  kept and eye on Jane all these Years knowing it would lead to RJ

We already know that Bob Kirklands twin is Michael Kirkland. But the big mystery is, that they were not only two, they are seven twins. All 7 from the list are twins !! And Michael Kirkland is just a cover-name, his real identity is ... Grace van Pelt !!

Thought this clue was interesting: I think the twin of Kirkland is an interesting theory. When PJ points out the pine needle on the suspect (with his face burnt and tortured) in the fourth episode, later they discover the property of kirkland's brother - which they use the pine needle again to confirm the correct area of forestry. RJ smells like pine, according to the blind witness who knew RJ based on touch and smell. Just an idea. Plus Kirkland keeps asking "do you recognize me?" I want to see what you guys think. Ps this site is awesome!

Bob Kirkland is not RJ and is RJ.

I believe we will find out the RJ is actually Bob Kirkland's twin brother. In S6Ep4 we learn from Kirkland that his twin brother, after a very traumatic childhood, found someone who inspired and helped him mentally, emotionally, and physically.

I theorize that the twin found Bret Stiles who helped him stabilize and channel his mentality. After being groomed by Stiles the twin leaves Stiles side and becomes RJ. Thus Bob Kirkland is not RJ but is RJ!!!
