I think... wait I know who Red John is.. I have contrete evidence... season 2 ep 28 ... emperor strikes back.. oh crap.. I mean the one where he drinks tea.. different program.. sorry... I think when jane drinks the tea and sees the knomes I believe it is the one on the right with the beard, this is because rosalind said he was clean shaven so he must of grown a beard. there is no monkeys in any of these episodes.... it just doesnt make sense... hopefully this makes sense tho... brett stiles quotes "to be or not to be that is the question"  or was that someone else... anyway I saw in season 4 episode 6 patrick jane... thats all.... and a few others,,, meaning it wasnt him. all this sums it up to be fair.. red john must be a dog.. in season 5 "the red barn" he plays with a dog.. a dog that stares at him when he leaves,,, a dog that thinks hes a tiger.. tiger tiger,,, come on people,... this is in black and white,...

Please, stop the nonsens theory that Patrick Jane is Red John!! This is absolutely bullshit and if I well remember Bruno Heller said before Jane isn't Red John!!

My opinion is the simplest answer is the most probably (Occam's razor) so looks like Brett Partridge is Red John. Of course, only Bruno Heller knows who Red John is. I hope cooming soon he will be revealed.

I don't think it's Brett because the link between the way he speaks and the way Red John speaks is too obviously BUT mainly because we've just found out that RJ was at the Visualize farms so he be roughly the same age as Ray Haffner, who: Lisbon thinks was in the farm, he is part of visualise and he didn't deny being in the farm. Brett is far too young.

Red John is most likely a man
He appears to be a Caucasian, and is a white person as described by Haley
Red John has an average height: Rosalind described him as "just under 6 feet tall"
Red John has short straight hair (as described by Rosalind Harker)
Red John either has or puts on an odd, high pitched and soft voice
Red John should be older than 30 years (since his murders date back to the 90's)

Brett Partridge is a Caucasian man that has an average height. He has a soft voice and his age is around the same as Patrick Jane. The reason why I choose him is because among all the other suspects, he fit the most number of clues.

Red John kills Jane's daughter and wife when Jane taunted him on tv. Patrick Jane call him sad tormented person. The reason why RJ killed Jane's family is because he feel offended. He feels offended because what Jane says is true. Brett Partridge is a very sad man. He may look happy and cheerful but that may just be an act. He is a very sad person inside as people looks down on him and people always think he is silly. Jane says that he is irksome and the whole CBI is laughing at him. If Mashburn is Red John, he would not kill Jane's family when Jane taunted him. Mashburn will not get offended because he knows he is not a very sad person. Why would Mashburn be a very tormented person when he has all the money?

when there is Red John cases, most of the time Brett Partridge is there. In one episode, Brett Partridge describe how Red John kills his victim with their blood drawn on the wall with three fingers. How would he know that if he is not Red John? Brett Partridge also has the same smile as Red John Symbol on the wall.

Brett Partridge doesnt seem to be impress with Jane psychic abilities. The reason he is not impress is because he knows that Jane is not psychic. Red John also knows that Jane is not a psychic as he call Jane a dishonest little worm after killing Jane's family. This explains why Brett Partridge doesnt get impress easily. It is because he is Red John.

When you look at Red John's episodes in Season 1 and 2, the body shape of Brett Partridge fits Red John body shape. Red John is not so muscular and not so tall, he is just under 6 feet tall as described by Rosalind Harker.Walter Mashburn is 6'3 feet tall. Mashburn is taller than what Rosalind Harker describe Red John to be. Brett Partridge is 5'11, the height fits Red John characteristic.

Bret Stiles says that Red John is jealous of Patrick Jane as Red John tries to take everything Jane has. Brett Partridge might be jealous of Jane because Jane is a very happy man and has a good life. Brett Partridge looks like the kind of guy who is a loner and weak. This explain why he would join Visualize. Visualize is all about being the best you. Mashburn did not have to join visualize to get all the right connections, he is already rich and powerful.

Bruno Heller says that when we find out who Red John is, we will be disappointed. We will definitely be disappointed if it was Brett Partridge. Brett Partridge has been suspected since Season 1 are aired. Bruno Heller might be throwing us off when he put Robert Kirkland, Ray Haffner, on the screen. He is trying to make everyone forget about the forensic guy who appears on Season 1.

Red John could not be Rigsby, Cho, Van Pelt, or Lisbon. In Season 4 finale,they are trying to trap Red John on the limo, it doesnt make sense if one of them is Red John. Red John could not be Patrick Jane's dead wife, why should she kill her own daughter? That is the most stupid theory I have ever read. If she did not want her daughter, she might as well do abortion in the first place.

I hope that Red John is Brett Partridge. There is no other pleasing storyline than a forensic guy who looks silly and foolish is actually a serial killer.Im sorry for my bad english.

If Brett has been portrayed with the same age I worked how old he would have been 1968 + 40 = 2008 so he would have been 40 when the show started, now I assume that show is set in the same timeline as us, so now it's 2013, that would make him 45, depending on his birth-date. Which fits the profile he would be around the same age as Jane.
