THE THEORIES

First of all, I really hope Partridge turns out to be Red John. He is my personal favourite and I think Red John has the connections to fake his own death and get away with it. He was there from the first episode, the very first line he says is "Red John enters here", as he walks across the room (which seems to me like he is making fun of Lisbon and the others right in their faces), and in "Red Sky In the Morning" Patrick spooks him in the victim's room when he comes back to say one last thing to him, and at the end of the episode we see Red John do that exact same thing to Patrick (which I see as a way of getting back at him). The pieces just fit so well that I'd love it if it turns out to be him!

However, the theories about Michael Kirkland being Red John are very interesting, though I hope this doesn't end up with him being Red John.

Just one last thought.I don't think Bob Kirkland's twin brother is actually Red John, because, if he was, would he just had ordered Reede Smith to kill him? Just like that? I think Red John's egomaniacal personality would had made him kill his own twin brother by himself, and not just have somebody else to do it for him.

Why did The Blake Association suddenly turn on one of their own:  Agent Reede Smith?  It is because of them that he turned to CBI to help him.
We know Bertram is creating diversions to keep CBI busy and off of him so you would think he would want Smith out there running around and keeping CBI busy.
My guess is that Reede Smith has info about Red John he doesn't realize he has and/or Kirkland's twin found out Smith killed his brother without permission so he is being punished.
These questions coincide with my previous post:"Did anyone else notice these strange interactions between Grace Van Pelt and Reede Smith?
First - As we have seen in the past, Grace is an Ace shooter so surprised she didn't at least nick Smith.
Second - Not only did she let him escape but she didn't even run after him or get in car and chase him down.  That's not like her.
Third, Reede Smith called in to Van Pelt's direct line from a burner phone AND she automatically recognized his voice when he asked for help.  Since the advent of Caller ID and Cell phones, don't think she would have known it was him via Caller ID since burner phones have no name associated with them unless she recognized his phone number since she could have called or received a call from him before from that number of his burner phone.  Even more interesting, thanks to cell phone contact lists, hardly any of us know phone numbers off the top of our head unless it is a phone number we have known for a very long time or one we have to dial frequently and Smith went from dialing to speaking directly with her.
We know from Van Pelt wearing a strapless wedding dress there are no Red Dot Tattoos on her arm/shoulder but there is, as many have said, something just not right."

is it me or did someone just post what happens in the first 75% of the next episode...

Could it be that all of the red-headed women (Grace Van Pelt, Rosalind Harker, Kristina Frye) were actually just red hair-ings (red herrings)?   Because the actual known accomplices have all/mostly had dark brown/black hair: CBI Rebecca, Lorelei Martins, Gas Station attendant.

If you want to go back to RJ from a trailer for 30 sec, have not understood anything of this series.
That said ...
When Teresa is close to Brett, how is it possible that someone approaching from behind? There is pretty much a wall and the window behind her.
I think BP also has his hands tied, a ploy to exclude him from being guilty. Also in "a brace of partridge" the two animals have their legs tied. We know that RJ is a big fan of Blake. Then his voice ... come on ...

"He is Mar" = He is Mary Poppins.

Think about it!

Whilst we're here, do you think the average "Brett Partridge Theorist" has an IQ above 100?

Before the season started I thought RJ was Partridge.  First episode when Partridge was killed I just thought he faked it and it was still him.  Now that we've allegedly seen his body I'm probably wrong? But who knows. Who ever it is I think its one of the "dead" suspects, not Bertram or Smith.

In any event whats more unbelievable is how Red John holds down a full time job, is a serial killer, has followers, founded the Blake Association (and make sure it runs the way he wants), and was or is involved with Visualize.

How does he find the time in the day to do all this and make very few mistakes that would lead to his capture.  That's the real mystery to me :)
