Why are there such long ass theories with the 7 suspects, explaining who they AREN'T. Can someone explain who they ARE?... Just asking. Ok I'll tackle Red John's identity in controversial style, and I'll be bleeding in red "unlikely's" like Michael Kirkland after Reede Smith is done with him.

Red John is Gay

1. Women flock to gay guys, its always baffled me - I better stop there...
2. Red John uses a very *slight* voice modifier, however there is an unmistakeable gay inflexion to his tone
3. Look at the way Red John holds his tea cup - so gay
4. Ok, about all his "lovers"... Even Patrick slept with Lorelei to get to Red John. I don't think being gay automatically disqualifies Red John from being with women.
5. He killed women because he is in denial
6. Would you send Lorelei Martins to sleep with another guy, no matter how manipulative you are? I mean, really? Only a gay person could in good conscience do it.
7. Lorelei has an extremely hard time believing that Red John abducted and raped his sister... Why? Because she knows he's gay.

Brett Partridge is played by a gay actor I've heard.- Brett Partridge has camp voice

- Look at him in the desert with his hands on hips- just gay
- Who listens to classical musical? Just kidding :)
- We hear hints he was very close to his mother as a kid
- Jealous that Patrick has a family. He probably has a weird crush on Patrick.

Not a theory. Just two clues for the "Lisbon is bugged" theory: i don't know if someone already noticed but i was re-watching the last episode of season 5, and two strange coincidences came up. When speaking about happy memoris, Jane having one about Eyleen Turner, Lisbon says her happy memory links a song to "her mother feeding pidgeons" (the famous SE06E02 scene). Plus, Sean Barlow plays the psychic with Lisbon, guessing that her father was an alcoholic. No guess, Red John told him. The two have been in contact: maybe just for that murder, maybe Red John was some guy in the carnival ("he's been there from the beginning", BH). 
Anyway, it makes sense that PJ has a strategy, knows that Lisbon is bugged and has exploited that for some time now. This is how is going to catch RJ.

She hasn't been killed by Red John, but she got hypnotized. Who could have pulled that off? Someone who has knowledge of drugs or by a certain hypnotic technique, a forensic expert or someone from visualize?

Brett Partridge
The forensic expert. He could pull off the fake wounds, lowering down his heart rate, and even drug Kristina. But yet he is dead. I wonder could that be the clue on Teresa's face. He pulled a clever trick, he is and will always be a showman.

Bret Stiles
The person with probably the most power of all the suspects. He said that he had inside knowledge about Red John. Could it be that he knows Red John or that Red John joined his Visualize? Sadly the boss is enjoying his precious time before he dies. Kinda "disappointing" Right Heller?

Ray Haffner
He has a weakness for the lovely Teresa and always calls her by her first name. The lunatic Red John calls Patrick on his cell in S06E01 'Teresa can't come to the phone right now, can I leave a message?' If you would try to take a look at the suspect list, only Ray calls her Teresa.
Furthermore he tries to warn Teresa to keep distance from Patrick, something dangerous could happen. Did he know about the planned bombing in Patrick's garden house? He has a phobia and is scared for spiders.. Well who isn't :P
The different Red John face on Teresa, could it be Ray's doing to mark his love. Like you're mine our time will come.
It was quite weird in the hospital, first the nurse comes the 'check' on her when Patrick is besides her bed. And after Patrick leaves Ray arrives. He has grown in confidence significantly and why is that? After the conversation with Teresa he just leaves happily and whistles.

Let me read those theories in the comment section, I just really like how people think differently about these things.

I think he is just a guy with a fetish to see Patrick's reaction when he discovers who Red John is. He is probably the head of the TygerTyger group or at least a minion who is sharing all his known information to a certain person through the phone.

One of the most popular theories is because of a great catch first with Patrick saying red john has killed two people in the last couple days instead of saying three and partridge wearing the fishing hat and Lisbon saying he reeled me in like a fish I think those are great clues but I didn't see if anyone has said anything about when Patrick told Bertram he was getting close to red john and Bertram said he wants to be there when they reel that fish in.  It may be nothing but does anyone think this has a connection to Partridge?
