THE THEORIES

Bob Kirkland says to Lisbon: 'We moved for Dad's work, we moved for Mom's work, I like to say, I grew up in America." Bob Kirkland left his brother Michael with his father. Bob Kirkland placed Patrick Jane under surveillance for 9 years because he thought he was Redjohn.

What do Patrick, Michael and Bob have in common with each other? They moved a lot, growing up. Mhmm. They were in the carnival. Why else would Bob suspect Patrick was the person Michael met? So Michael met someone else in the carnival who was Redjohn.

Why would Redjohn go to the carnival? Because he's killed 2 people at the Visualise farm and needs to get away. How does Bret Stiles know Patrick's father? It's not like a "kid" could be high up in Visualise, while he's working in the carnival, after killing people on Visualise property. Why were the murders never reported? Could the "kid" be someone important to Stiles? Did the kid become Alex Jane's new apprentice?

Is it a co-incidence Redjohn leads Patrick to Rosalynd Harker? Patrick and his father con a little girl who is terminally ill, in the carnival. Did she survive to be Rosalynd? Did Redjohn pick up her name while Alex Jane recounts the story of Patrick's last con.

Did it become important to Redjohn to find her, to remind Patrick that he is a con man in season one?

The "kid" aka Redjohn has been important to Stiles for a long time. He sees himself above Patrick and Redjohn. Jason Cooper also knows Redjohn and said once in Red Barn they didn't report the murders because, "The police never took reports from Visualise seriously." That was 25 years ago.

Do you think that might ever prompt Visualise to raise up and form a group, specifically involving those in law-enforcement, to make the Tiger Tiger group?

7 suspects on the PICTURES of the list

- Brett Stiles: Head of Visualise

- Haffner has a very respectable job after Visualise drives him straight. He's looking good. "You think you're so smart, Patrick."

- Michael Kirkland's actions suggest he is a learned hypnotist (from Carnival) when he kills Jason Lennon. He can pose as Homeland Security, as he's apparently "dead" in Bob's mind.

- Bertram, Director of CBI, calls Patrick - "Boy Wonder"

- Sherriff McAllister, Sherriff in Napa, where O'Loughlin wanted to take Grace

- Reede Smith, a fat member of "Tiger, Tiger," showing recruitment is not due to rank.

- Brett Partridge, Jane's worst enemy, member of "Tiger, Tiger."

There's your 7-headed dragon. Heads on the same dragon don't always get along, but they're part of the same dragon.

So, find the head who is fatally wounded. William Blake is the biggest theme throughout the Tiger, Tiger organisation. Brett Partridge sounds like a fitting name to rename yourself.

"Brett", to show he is son of "Bret."
"Partridge" to run with the William Blake theme.

So, lets break it down.

Redjohn < Tiger Tiger < Visualize

I believe we should not trust the list because of this new "tyger tyger" organization. Jane, possibly, accounted that the RJ suspects met Todd Johnson at some point. But what if Johnson was not related to RJ but to the organization? When Jane discovers this organization and its passcode, "Tyger Tyger", he is bound to remake the list because there was something he couldn't account in his investigation. The "Tyger Tyger" organization.

There may be the same names in the list, but I don't believe we can FULLY trust Jane's list.

Tonights episode will feature Jane visiting Ray in the gym, where upon arrival Jane sees Ray bench pressing two pigeons in nothing but his underwear. Realising that Ray is not afraid of birds and doesn't have a tattoo, Jane is about to cross Ray off the RJ list until out of the blue Ray asks jane to fetch him a gatorade from upstairs because he's afraid of heights.

SERIOUSLY Rj's phobia maybe of heights, birds or something completely different. I consider myself to be a pretty good whistler to.

Until we get some more definitive clues or someone gets killed off then i don't think we can exclude anybody thats still alive on the list, even as much as I would hate it being Reede smith, you can't cross him off yet.

P.s. where did this tattoo thing come from apart from the the name of the episode?

Occam's razor: The simplest explanation is usually the right explanation.

These theories are too complex and will likely fall apart under pressure. The only person who fits RJ's profile is Danny Ruskin. PJ's brother in-law.

He has always been jealous of Patrick's success and angry that he took his sister away from her family. He has access to Patrick's past. He knows Patrick better than anyone else. I know that RJ killed his sister and niece, but he is a sociopath and a con man. He can blend in, and he can charm and manipulate people without remorse.

Someone has recently asked about chat where we can talk in the real time, so I made a facebook group where we can talk. Please join me and 34 other people in the groupe. We already have a few theories and great discussion :)

Just a thought :

If red john has so many powerful friends who help him and cover for him , then what is great about him ? he just slit someone's throat and paint a smiley face on wall ? so anyone can be red john with that resources and friends .

Just a thought, but I think that this could have been used if the writers had thought about it:

Jane got close to Red John, VERY close, in the episode where Red John saves him from the copycat killers.  So close, that I'm sure Jane probably had a perfect opportunity to get a whiff of what Red John smelled like!!

This might not be a big clue to any normal person, but we know that Patrick has a very keen sense of smell, and smell is the most powerful sense in terms of memory...So, one might think, if Patrick got THAT close to Red John, he might be able to recognize the smell and connect it to one of the 7 suspects!!

Obviously there are some holes in this theory:
-The room could have covered up his scent
-He could wear cologne in his daily life to cover up his real scent
-Being in that costume could have made him smell differently
etc...

But I would think that if Patrick Jane got THAT close to Red John...(assuming it really was Red John who saved him)...I would think that he could have gotten some sort of an idea for who he is.

Other things he could have possibly picked up:
-breathing patterns
-if he got a good enough look at him (maybe he didn't) he could have got a good sense of his height/weight
-his voice/way he talks:  he obviously didn't talk normally, but even when you use a different voice, there are usually still some things that stick out

What do you guys think?
