Brett Partridge being Red John would be the most unoriginal *twist* the series has ever endured. It would make an otherwise well done show laughable. I enjoy every other suspect including Reede Smith over Partridge as Red John. Even the completely farfetched Kirkland twin theories are more entertaining. Just let it be any answer other than Partridge. What a waste of everyone's time if he's RJ.  I'm rooting for Bertram.
