ARGUMENTATION

Watched the "leaked" episode and like most others, I was fairly disappointed. Read posts by other people who enjoyed and/or believed that the "leaked" episode was in fact real and I respect their opinions, furthermore, a lot of the stuff they're saying makes sense.

However, I'm still uncertain that certain segments of the episode itself are real. A couple of things that got me thinking:

1) The segment of the episode before the reveal seemed generic. It came off to me as a template to apply for any sort of ending that BH chose. Bertram had no clue who RJ was and furthermore he had no dialogue with and no direct involvement in the whole PJ & RJ scene.

2) The McAllister segment of the episode seemed 'bloated'. The chase scene was unnecessary and felt like it was dragged out, in the end, we all knew that PJ would catch up to and kill RJ so it did not have to go as long as it did. As regards to the woman with the knife, what was the point of hiring an extra for one scene that had no direct effect on the story whatsoever besides showing her escape (and revealing a direct connection to RJ), as to set the scene for a plot later along the line. However, I thought the whole RJ storyline was supposed to end here in preparation for a complete and fresh reboot.

If this was in fact the real episode as far as the McAllister scenes go, I can see the addition of a few flashbacks when PJ is explaining how RJ escaped from the blast perhaps 'enriching' the episode a bit more as well as the inclusion of tense classic Mentalist themed music.

Above is my personal opinion. Agree or disagree with it, don't mind either way. Also don't mind for a more detailed discussion in the comments section.

Yes, I really do hope that the final version of the episode is different (McAllister scene-wise, don't mind if he is RJ but there's quite a bit that needs to be brushed up) as I genuinely don't believe that this even touches BH potential. This may be part of a larger plot in a move that will make TV history (one can hope).

Anyway, I will be awaiting Sunday night's episode and will continue watching throughout, hopefully I'm right :)
