It is pretty obvious that partridge is red john, no matter whether heller shows us or not. McAllister is just another fake RJ as was Timothy Carter - well, as a matter of fact, he is worse than Carter but who could blame RJ's choice as he probably only had the choice of bertram or mcallister for a scapegoat given the list of 7...
McAllister is not the head of the Blake Association. We know from Season 1 Episode 2 that he had a thing for Van Pelt faking to be a helpless woman and it might very well be the case that he joined Blake Association in need for a violation cover-up. Actually, he IS the sexually perverted man that Patrick called him, ironically, without being RJ, though.
You know, there is just no way that some genius of RJ's calibre would put himself into danger by meeting his arch enemy in a location that he didn't choose himself. Not to mention his naive curiosity as to what his arch enemy wants to show him... not to mention his begging for mercy.. (actually i suspect that he didn't really call 911 but RJ).. do you really think that the genius that planted timothy carter's number into o'lauglins phone in order to deceive jane could "fall for a pigeon"?? haha. What would be even more hilarious? RJ showing that woman who tried to bug the CBI his tattoo before killing her :D !!
Still it could be that Heller really is serious about this. However, that doesn't change anything about the truth that McAllister is just another proxy of RJ. Now some of you might think that I'm crazy BUT: Heller just can't change the IMMANENT applied logic of the whole series up to episode 8! McAllister is NOT red john even if Heller wants him to be it. If Heller ends this story without sorting this out it just means that he failed when it mattered most and he made the whole story feel INCONSISTENT. a good writer wouldn't introduce inconsistency but discard any change which does not feel right. If Heller chooses McAllister to be RJ it's because he made a big mistake not because McAllister really is RJ!
Heller can sort this out, though. In some sense fooling us again with a fake RJ makes sense in many ways:
1) Partridge needed a scapegoat anyway because Jane suspected him.
2) It's interesting to watch Jane trying go get a new life as we haven't had that in this show so far. It makes the Jane character even more interesting
3) RJ has already wanted Jane to start a new life multiple times. He said it through his proxy Timothy Carter and offered him a new life in the season 4 finale.
4) Even I could write a good season finale for that - Jane finds the dead bodies of rigsby and van pelt and a big RJ smiley above them.
On the other, let's see what the inevitable future for the show looks like given that Heller is serious:
1) CBS will shutdown the series down before even showing the last episode because it loses about 40% of its viewers.
Heller, you like that prospect??? Think about it before it's too late!
