ARGUMENTATION

The information below is a collection good of theory's that I have somewhat consolidated. I tried to place as much fact into each of the suspects and their lightly-hood of being RJ as of yet. At the end I have given my personal thoughts on the matter; thoughts not based on fact. Please read and feel free to give me feed back!

Bret Stiles

Seen in:
Season 2 Episode 20 -
Red All Over

Season 3 Episode 3 - The
Blood on His Hands

Season 4 Episode 16 -
His Thoughts Were Red Thoughts

Season 5 Episode 8 - Red
Sails in the Sunset
Suspicions of being Red John:
~Runs a cult so extremely manipulative like Red John.
~High intellect, has so far avoided jail and held the leadership of
Visualize through his cunning and intellect.
~Knew the location of
Kristana Frye while she was being held by Red John.
Red John verdict:
~While having a strong
connection to Red John is very unlikely to be Red John himself. The voice and
age do not match what we've seen of Red John. Also it is very unlikely that Red
John would help Jane facilitate the escape of Lorelei Martins.

Season 5 Episode 14 -

Season 5 Episode 16 -
There Will Be Blood
Suspicions of being Red John:
~Quoted William Blake
like Red John.
~Was already on suspected
of being Red John or one of his accomplices back in Strawberries and Cream.
~High level position
which would allow him to develop his contacts and accomplices.
Red John verdict:
~He's a possible
candidate due to his position, but I feel he's been gamed by Jane too many
times for him to be Red John. Also most recently, in Red in Tooth and Claw, I
feel he would not need the help from Jane to do better in Poker if he was Red
John.

Ray Haffner:
Seen in:
~Season 4 Episode 2 -
Little Red Book
~Season 5 Episode 13 -
The Red Barn
Suspicions of being Red John:
~Has shaken hands with
Jane when they first met.
~High Ranking member of
the CBI.
~Confirmed Visualize
member, but unconfirmed to whether he was at the Barn the same time as Red
John.
Red John verdict:
~We haven't seen enough
of him to really get a feel for him so I place him high on the chances of being
Red John for being a member of Visualize and fitting the age, build,
intelligence criteria.

Reede Smith:
Seen in:
~Season 5 Episode 1 - The
Crimson Ticket
Suspicions of being Red John:
~Part of the FBI
Red John verdict:
~Honestly, I have no idea
why this guy is on the list. We know literally nothing about him. His partner
Gabe Mancini makes a better suspect than this guy does.

Robert Kirkland:
Seen in:
~Season 5 Episode 5 - Red
Dawn
~Season 5 Episode 7 - If
It Bleeds, It Leads
~Season 5 Episode 8 - Red
Sails in the Sunset
~Season 5 Episode 16 -
There Will Be Blood
~Season 5 Episode 18 -
Behind the Red Curtain
~Season 5 Episode 19 -
Red Letter Day
Suspicions of being Red John:
~Shook Jane's hand at the
end of If It Bleeds, It Leads.
~Member of Homeland Security which allows him to develop contacts and
accomplices.
~Has a high interest in
the Red John case and Lorelei Martins.
~Kills Jason Lennon who knows the identity of Red John.
~Has agents break into
Jane's room to gather all the information that Jane has on Red John.
Red John verdict:
~Most likely a Red John
accomplice. He met Jane and shook hands with him while Lorelei was in jail so
she had no way of knowing they had met. Also it would be too dangerous for Red
John himself to go kill Jason Lennon personally.

Thomas McAllister:
Seen in:
~Season 1 Episode 2 - Red
Hair and Silver Tape
Suspicions of being Red John:
~Honestly, I've got
nothing. Everything about him screams not Red John.
Red John verdict:
~Probably not Red John, if it's him I will be sorely disappointed.

Brett Partridge:
Seen in:
~Season 1 Episode 1 -
Pilot
~Season 2 Episode 23 -
Red Sky in the Morning
~Season 5 Episode 15 -
Red Lacquer Nail Polish
~Season 5 Episode 22 -
Red John's Rules
Suspicions of being Red John:
~Completely fascinated by Red John cases.
~Appears at the two
copycat Red John scene saying it was Red John and at the actual Red John scene
says its not him.
~Height, build and voice
are most similar to Red John.
~The Tyger is a poem by William Blake, who also has a painting called A Brace of
Partridge .
~He is creepy and PJ dislikes him from the start. (Accuses him of liking his job too much (Forensics expert))
~His job would allow him to perfectly remove any trace of him.
Red John verdict:
~He is the most likely
candidate for being Red John, but too likely. But he was seen in the very first
episode and important Red John episodes. He may just end up being a red
herring, but he's still at the top of my list of Red John suspects.

Analysis:
In the last episode we are
given the most information about Red John, however there are also
many loose ends that are never accounted for.

PJ always keeps his study
room locked, however he revels to all of the CBI that he is close to
finding RJ and leaves his study unlocked while he sleeps. He sets
the trap to see if his study is broken into. After finding his study was broken
into PJ is seen burning his evidence, he is also no longer concerned with
Lisbon entering.

It seems to me that PJ had
his list, but was stuck. So he sets the room up to be discovered. This seems to
be a ploy that may or may not have worked. And it is possible that the list was
a decoy.

How else would RJ be able to know the list, unless
PJ is RJ and I hate that theory. RJ is clever, but not omniscient.

So I would conclude that while the list could
contain RJ, it is also very possible that the list is incomplete as of now. I
would be willing to bet that RJ grew up with PJ and parted ways as children.
Then when PJ was reintroduced to RJ he was under an alias. That is the only way
for RJ to know so much about PJ, and the reasoning behind the torment that RJ
seems so determined to inflict on PJ. A grudge that could be explained by say,
PJ's Brother or Father.

If we assume that the list is complete and RJ is
one of the seven. Then it would seem obvious that Partridge is Red John.

I seriously doubt we will ever know, and like so many TV
shows before we will always have debates and arguments as to the real killer.
We all hope it doesn't happen, but prepare yourselves friends.

Please let me know your thoughts, and thanks for
reading.
