First of all: Partridge is just a guess, no theory around that. =p
Second of all: main language here is portuguese, not english, so... You'll probably find some gramar mistakes...
Now, I'm assuming (for god's sake) Jane is not Red John and the list the show gave to us in the finale is real as Heller stated himself (after all lying about that would make no sense, with the only possible purpose of infuriating the fans that follow the news).
So my question is: do you guys think Jane or Red John are seriously stupid?
Everytime I see a theory eliminating some of the suspects of the list o seven by statements like "he is too old", "he is bawd", "he is too tall", "his voice doesn't match" or "he is too fat", god, I have headache!
Jane, for months, was carefully narrowing down the list of people he shook hands after his wife and daughter were killed to SEVEN PERSONS, and you really think he missed those kind of detailes? REALLY? OUR Patrick Jane?
And even after we have, through Red John, known the list is really a great step in order to get to the son of a b#tch?
What I'm trying to say is: Before theorizing around the list, think: "Doesn't Jane knows that already?". He has been in the Red John case for years and have also been desperate to catch him, after so many proofs of his (Patrick's) inteligence that were given to us through all the season, he would NEVER miss this kinds of details, folks!
Our only chance to figure out who Red John before Jane does is with the information on screen we get that Jane does not! Like the tea part when Roy visited Rosalind, when Kirkland requested though agent Shultz Red John's case developments to Minelli, the fact that it was Kirkland who broke into Jane's secret investigation (AFTER Lorelei was killed, please)... Anyway, these are our leverage over Jane, not a description a blind woman gave that Patrick is well aware of...
Of couse, with all that I'm assuming the show will have at least some coerence, otherwise... Well, otherwise why should we even bother trying to guess.
BONUS: There's one interesting fact I'd like to share with you: as a brazillian I used to watch the show legended (now I watch it without that) but when my little sister (that is sort of a fan of the show) wants to watch it, i put it dubbed in portuguese.
The thing is: in episode 08 from season 2 (when Bosco dies), just after Minelli talks to Lisbon (after the badass media conference), there's someone in a suit and sunglasses Minelli aparently sees distant. With the original audio you can't hear a thing, but in the dubbed version you can hear someone saying: "Como está indo a investigação?", that, translated, sort of means: "How's the investigation going?" and we all know who was following "secretly" the CBI investigations on RJ since the beginning...
When I rewatched this it was after Kirkland's second or third episode in season 5 and by that moment I was like "OMG, is that him there?!"
Right now I'm kind of sure RJ is not our "friend" Bob (because he broke into Jane investigation after RJ already knew the list), but does it means he was there from the start of the show? I mean, the writer had the idea of the character since that time?
Interesting, isn't it? =p
