ARGUMENTATION

So... I've been quite skeptical of Bertram as being RJ, but I noticed something in the episode where Hightower is framed for the murder of Todd Johnson. It's already been pointed out that this is the episode where Bertram quotes a poem from William Blake (and, might I add, he seems just slightly evasive when questioned about where the poem comes from). What I noticed this time is that Laroche notes that it was Bertram who informed him of Hightower's affair that led to her being number one on the suspect list.

Sure, this could be another neat coincidence, but it is curious that a potential RJ was the one who effectively 'framed' her by dropping the thought that put on the top of the list. And, Jane hints earlier that RJ's insider was probably trying to set her up all along.

With this said, the biggest downside of the Bertram-as-RJ theory is that he should have worked out the set up at the end of the season and thus not walked into Jane's trap... But, at the same time, perhaps he recognised it was a trap but nonetheless though Hightower might be there, hence having the assassin start in the room above and then scale down to the one below - covering both rooms (as he wouldn't have know about the additional rooms).

Does this add anything to the Bertram theory?

Ps - enough with Patrick as RJ. Asides for the many reasons why that doesn't work, it would be incredibly disappointing for viewers to discover the whole show to be an extended rip off of Fight Club. I don't think Bruno has set out to do that!
