I think that list of seven... is a trap for Red John made by Patrick.! They may be friends of Rj... and know who Rj is.. but Rj is a diffrent person and Jane knows this! 

They can be marionetts of Rj ... 

I really think Kristina Frye can be a suspect... He was the only victim of Rj left alive ! Mabe she is Rj and made it look like she is a victim so she can be excluded of the list of suspects! Plus.. she is a good in manipulating people... hypnotize.. and she knew lots of thing about Patrick!
