I've seen every episode and I'm rewatching them again (in season 4 right now)

First off Jane is not Red John, they lead you down that road in season 4 but ultimately Patrick Jane is just being consistent (get the killer (like Panzer) before he kills again)
even if it means to not follow the letter of the law...what sets him off in that Panzer episode was that Darcy was going to take over the case, not that Panzer dissed Red John on TV

Obviously I'm not 100% sure but I believe Kirkland's the guy

Here's why
He fits Rosalind's description
He's soft spoken and fits the voice
He obviously has ties and friends to the FBI / CBI
His talk with Lisbon over coffee said he was from America (his parents moved around)
That's the tie that's needed to Patrick Jane's carnival days
Similar ages
He told Lisbon to stand down on Volker (Volker is the Red John type) but not on the list

I originally thought it was Partridge.
He's the creepy type but he's not the type that would get people to follow him
In the Following on Fox, that guy had charisma, the ladies liked him, he could develop a "following"....Partridge aint that guy

I loved the theories a couple weeks ago from the post that Betram was Red John (explaining the end of season 3)
After reading that I thought Bertram was the guy and Kirkland was helping
But now I believe its the other way around
Kirkland is the guy and he's got Bertram helping him (knowingly or unknowningly)

I think in season 5, Heller showed us Red John and he's Kirkland
Part I'm not sure about is Lennon saying he didnt know Kirkland (hypnotized not to remember him??) (I know that's a reach)  Kirkland killed Lennon to cover his own tracks.

I think that's why we will be disappointed when he's finally revealed...He may have already been revealed

Haffner isnt red john, he got played by Jane and he's not socially awkward, he was hitting on Lisbon when he made the offer, he was trying to get Lisbon away from Jane.. The pitch was like "Lisbon you'll always be second to his wife, even after the Red John case is solved, etc." The guy is not a psychopath serial killer...Jane showed up Haffner,(Partridge too), Red John wouldnt take that.....Jane hasnt had that control around Kirkland, Kirkland has always had the upper hand (when I rewatch season 5 again, I may have a different opinion)

Remember Red John is keeping Jane around to toy with him
It will have ties to Jane's childhood (why the father theories are out there)
We don't know enough about the first killings (that would help)
But Red John should be one person that kills the ladies the same way
If Its Kirkland (he killed Lennon out of necessity, Carter Peak too, that's why those are different

Finally i just think that Patrick Jane has been closing in, he let everybody know it at the CBI and Kirkland/Red John took the bait to break in

Kirkland didnt log all the info....He's studying it himself

Love the part where they're both studying the same board that Jane created....Who can battle to get the upper hand? How long can Kirkland hold him off?

Again, I think that's why we will be disappointed when Red John is revealed.. He already has been.....And this season is Jane getting caught up with the viewer on Red John
