After watching tonight's episode, I have some thoughts I'd like to share with you all. Of course, I do not know for sure who Red John is, but I have two suspects remaining in my mind. I have eliminated all others. First, let's start with Brett Partridge, who is supposedly dead.. In the episode tonight, I did not see sufficient evidence to confirm that. Yes, his "body" was on a stretcher in the background, but there was no "up close" confirmation or a burial scene. I still think the body could have been switched or Partridge took a drug and could wake up some time later, and accomplices could sneak him out of wherever his body was taken. Also, two things I remembered from an early clip of Partridge (season 1 or 2 I believe) He is wearing an "ear phone" which explains how he could talk to Jane and still have two hands free for the "knife" and wiping the blood off. (Of course, any of the suspects could have an earphone, so this is not sufficient evidence to confirm my theory that Partridge could still be alive.)
In this same clip of Partridge, he talks about Red John's "trusty stun gun." I couldn't help but notice how in the episode tonight they mentioned how Lisbon was taken down by a taser. How would Partridge know about Red John's trusty stun gun unless he was him? (Or was a disciple of Red John's.)
I do not know if Partridge's death was real or an elaborate ruse, but I do know this: If Brett Partridge is not Red John, Raymond Haffner is. After examining all evidence and listening to Rosalind Harker's and Sophie Miller's descriptions, he is the only possible suspect remaining in my mind (if Partridge is really dead.)
What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments, and thanks for reading.
