ARGUMENTATION

There are 3 different shots which are very focal on swans in Season 6 episode 3.

1: Just before McCallister's appearance -
2: Before the mother of the bride confesses to Jane
3: During her confession

1st Shot = 7 swans
2nd Shot = 7 swans
3rd Shot = 6 swans

This symbolises the death of Brett Partridge. I'm NOT saying Brett Partridge isn't RJ. If he was, his alias, Brett Partridge, is killed by Redjohn, in a precise tactical move. Therefore it still makes sense that Partridge could be Redjohn.

In Season 6 episode 1, a single pigeon escapes. In episode 2, we see a pack of pigeons. Could this symbolise Redjohn is out of the line of suspicion, safe and anonymous once more. In episode 3, the lone pigeon strikes, on McCallister. This is all symbolism of course, as the theme of 7 suspects runs. I don't think the majority of viewers will appreciate the lone pigeon escaping from the 7 pigeons in episode 1. It's subtle and cryptic, as in, it was not a clue on it's OWN. It ties in with the other symbols I just picked up on, from the following episodes.

This matches the description Bruno Heller gave of the clue in the final sequence. There is a clue buried in that final sequence that will pay off big time in the finale of the Red John story. A very big clue. No one will get it from the clue as it is laid out in the episode, but it will pay off later.

If Sherriff Thomas McCallister is murdered by Redjohn, Brett Partridge is Redjohn.
