I just read theory #8587, and here's my prediction for episode 6.

Why is Patrick gathering the suspects? It's a trick! The one he really wants is Bret Stiles!

RJ made 2 FBI cold cases come up so Stiles could flee and disappear without suspicion. This way Partridge keeps his father safe. Ever since episode 1, apparently, Patrick has pretended to not know RJ's identity, when he clearly knows its Partridge by the end of 1. In episode 5, Patrick finally has his leverage. When Oscar Cordeiro, RJ's man, sees Patrick leaning in to hear the clue that RJ purposely revealed, he will report back to Partridge and confirm that Jane doesn't know his identity. So, Partridge will know Jane is going to gather the suspects to start checking for the tattoo. Because Stiles obviously doesn't have the tattoo, Partridge will let his father go because Partridge doesn't know that Jane is luring him into a trap.

The explosion is a diversion for PJ to kidnap Stiles, the one man most important to RJ, Then PJ will ransom his safety for Redjohn himself.
