ARGUMENTATION

Ok. Before I
present you my theory from #9034 where I actually did not present it I would
like to explain how in my opinion Brett faked his own death.

"How
did Partridge faked his own death?"
- He's CBI forensic, also I don't
think that Kirkland mentioned about a twin with no reason and asked people do
they recognize him and they didn't. Everything that we knew od heard untill now
about Red John story/associates is very important and now when i double watched
last episode I'm like 101% sure Jane is pulling out a "long con".
Kirkland's brother could've easly do some plastic surgery in order to look more
like Partridge (Ofc if we assume Robert's brother is Red John associate which
imho is just a matter of time we find out about it). You'll say: yep plastic
surgery, bullshit but I think there is a reason why none of all RJ
associates/suspects that Kirkland asked if they recognized him said yes. Also a
lot of you guys point out those doors that opened, and I also have an easy way
to explain it. First of all i don't think that RJ was aware of his phone being
bugged, thats why Lisbon actually got a right tip that Partridge is there. He
as Red John went there with associate to fake his own death and as we know RJ
associates are very loyal to him and almost blinded so I wouldn't be surprised
if his co. worker would sacrifice himself for a "greater good". When
Lisbon steps in that house there were 3 people there - Red John, his associate
and Lisbon. When she was getting closer to the room where she was suppoused to
find Bretts dead body they (RJ and associate, imo Kirkland twin brother that
after plastic surgery was very similiar to Brett) were finishing making a crime
scene. Then Lisbon opened the first door, pigeons spooked her off. RJ and his
co worker also got spooked so RJ hide himself behind the door that were closed
and his disciple went to the other ones. Lisbon came in and as soon as RJ
disciple realised she didn't notice "his" door he made a random sound
for her to spot them. Then she pulls the door and RJ disciple (Kirkland
brother) fell down on the floor. As he wasnt deadly wounded he said Tiger Tiger
imo, the signal for RJ to react, then the real RJ opens that door, and its just
that, he stayed there. Lisbon got spooked and RJ disciple grabbed her from the
floor as we can see she was pulled from low. Then RJ killed his disciple and
made the crime scene look legit, then he drew his smiley face on Lisbons face.
Of course you can say it's bullshit but you have to question yourself, why on
earth would Red John left his victim body hidden in some weird room in
abandonned house instead of leaving it on a sight view (as he always did)?

"How could Jane not possibly
notice?"
- Actually he did notice and imho thats the reason he went to
Napa, because he knew that at that specific moment the list was still consisted
of 7 suspects and 2 people on that list is either Red John and his associate
(another one). So he just took an opportunity to go to Napa to see if sheriff
McAllister is his associate. That would look extremly strange if Jane would
have gone there without a reason. He's not stupid. Thats why he was
"checking" if sheriff has phobia of some kind in order to see if
sheriff reacts as he would be RJ disciple. Then when sheriff actually saved his
life he must have understand at that particular moment that sheriff is not RJ
associate.

Long Con
theory
- I actually made that one when at 4x24 Jane said he faked
his breakdown. At that moment Jane realized that to take out Red John he has to
figure out something much bigger than just a breakdown, he has to risk his own
life. After Lorelai gave him by an accident an info that he actually met Red
John in person PJ has started to dig in his memory in order to type his
suspects. That typing thing goes trought almost the whole 5th season.
In 5x18 Jane was happy when someone broke into his room, why? Because as we
know from his conversation with Lisbon that he always had a feeling that he was
being watched by an FBI (he didn’t know it was Homeland) so he thought RJ
himself or his disciple broke in and stole his fake list. Yes I assume that we
have never seen the real list of suspects made by Patrick. Then he was waiting.
In last episode when he saw that DVD he quickly compared those RJ 7 with his
own list and focused on few suspects. As he would know that Red John is a
show-man Patrick knew that he was going to reveal himself in that list.

Imho the
original and real list of Patrick Jane suspects consisted of 4 suspects:

• Brett
Partridge

- No
authority, power in law enforcement and lack of resources. Also he was present
at each RJ possible crime scene and imo he was always trying to get Patrick of
the right track saying: It’s Red John murder/It’s not Red John murder. Patrick
did notice that and I also thought he noticed they voices to be similar. Also
he’s the one of two among all suspects (RJ’s and PJ’s) that fits Rosalind’s
description (other one is Ray Haffner but he’s not at real list of suspects)

• Gale Bertram

- Director of the CBI, high
authority and power within law enforcement and what comes next - resources. He
always seemed to be creepy for Patrick and he was always trying get rid off Jane
presence in CBI. If not real RJ Patrick would type him as RJ right hand.

• Sheriff Thomas McAllister

- Another one with high authority
and power within law enforcement. He is very intelligent what we can see in 3rd
episode of 6th season while together with Jane they are talking
about crime scene. Also ha has hunting skills, which are perfect to be serial
killer. Althought imo the distance from Napa to Sacramento is too big and he
wouldn’t be Red John because it’s physically impossible, it’s like 6 hours by
car from Napa to Sacramento. PJ would type him as RJ disciple.

• Robert Kirkland

- Another one with power, authority
and resources also PJ noticed that he’s very strange if it comes to RJ case.

Right after Partridge he’s the
only one from Jane’s real list that was type as possible Red John.

So, going on by this theory after
Patrick watched RJ DVD he had 4 suspects to investigate. Notice that Patrick
talks straight about RJ neer Ray Haffner and he insults him, also he doesn’t really
care about Stiles or his whereabouts because in previous seasons he saw trought
Stiles and he said something like: “You wouldn’t hurt a fly”.

But let’s stay on the truck with
the plot.

• Here It comes, the first
confrontation
with RJ suspects, imo Patrick blew up that case with this almost
married couple because he wanted to confront Bertram and try to read his
thoughts/plans and he did notice that sentence: “I’m many things to many people”.
Also Patrick noticed the fact that Bertram insisted on being a part of Red John
investigation, he never cared before, why bother now? That was the particular
moment that Patrick realized Gale Bertram is Red John disciple.

• Second confrontation is with
Brett Partridge, Lisbon and Jane picked up a case far from Sacramento because
he knew that a CBI forensic would go there exam the body. Then at the crime
scene he does all that talking with Partridge and this is the first time he
didn’t insult him in any way. Patrick Jane is still typing him as RJ main
suspect. After what has happened that night Patrick is like 90% sure that Brett
is Red John or his right hand because he noticed that body they found was not
Brett. Also that was the moment when Patrick realized that it’s better for him
because he may kill Red John without consequences because how can you kill a
guy who is already dead? Now his goal is to find out who is his disciple. He
just doesn’t know how Partridge managed to fake his death.

- This is the exact moment when
Partridge starts to freak out because he thinks PJ know his true identity and
he decides to fake his own death. I described it in the first part of my post.

• Third confrontation is an
opportunity for Jane to check if McAllister is a disciple or a normal guy.
Jane, as a wise man know that he must act like he suspects McAllister of
something (checking for possible phobia) just to make sure Red John doesn’t find
out that Patrick might already know his identity. The key moment of that
episode is when Sheriff rescued Patrick from a roof. Jane crossed out
McAllister from his list - he’s normal guy, or at least he thought so.

• Fourth and crucial
confrontation
- Patrick finds out that it was Homeland Security that has been
watching him all these years, and he finds out that Robert Kirkland is hunting
Red John and Bob had a twin brother. He quickly connected the fact of twin
brother and now he is 101% sure Brett Partridge is Red John and the guy who
died in that house was in matter of fact Kirkland twin brother.

• Fifth confrontation is another
important moment. Patrick gives a tip for all of the remaining suspects even if
he doesn’t need two of them (Stiles and Haffner). Meeting place - Jane’s house
and no one except Jane knows it. What really happened? Jane knew that from Partridge
fake death he has to find a way to lure him out, and what’s the better way than
gathering all suspects in one place? Jane knew Partridge was going to do
something with that gathering so he made sure he wouldn’t have enough time to
do something, so the last person Jane gave an intel about meeting localization was
Bertram because he knew he’s an associate of Red John (I’m not counting Stiles
for reasons posted above). Patrick was about to pretend that he’s going to kill
someone because he wanted Bertram to confess then he’d hide him somewhere and explain
to the rest of gathered people what had just happen, but unfortunately as it is
in life Patrick didn’t have a chance to talk with Kirkland and get his intel
because then he would’ve known about Tiger conspiracy. When he told them to
show him their left shoulders he didn’t really expect to see a tattoo but when
he saw it at the shoulder of a man he crossed out from his list he got nervous
(he wasn’t before as he even said to sheriff). Then when Stiles told him about
the rest having the same tattoo Jane realized that it was part of something
bigger and he had to act quickly as he knew Partridge is somewhere close
outside watching them. So in my opinion he stunned all of tattoo guys and
explained situation to Stiles and Haffner. Then he did shot somewhere and unfortunately
at that time Partridge pushed the detonation button.

That is pretty much my long con
theory, I hope I didn’t bore you to death.

How do you find this theory?
