I don't know, but judging from what happened in here the past days, I sense a lot of drama coming in tonight.
Just not from the actual Red John episode.
Might be a first, that the drama about a Mentalist episode is all happening on the Internet and not on TV.
Everyone can relax now. Episode 8 will not air tonight.
They will just air a polished version of the fake to have some fun.
The real Red John episode will air next year.

Someone on spoilertv posted that the real episode is now live on iTunes in French (I'm not French, so maybe someone here can confirm this?) - and it is indeed the same as the leaked episode.
Should we replace WhoIsRedJohn by WhoWasRedJohn now, as we all know that his sad excuse of a time filler called "episode 8" doesn't answer anything?
As we all of course know, the leaked episode is just a stupid fake. Never ever could the producers think of such a lame ending for the Red John arc. Not even the actors are real and clearly photoshopped into some holiday pictures from Bruno Heller. The story is so hilarious, everyone can see that there aren't enough drugs in California for writers to come up with such an ending. A pigeon? Seriously?
But well, just for the fun of it, lets assume for a moment that this will be the episode that airs on Sunday (a bit more polished of course) and McAllister is really the sad excuse of a Red John of the faked version.
For everyone who can't believe it, here are the top 10 explanations about what might have happened:
