LATEST THEORIES

After dwelling on the leaked episode i have discovered that it all seemed like a dream from patrick. Probrally while hes in the hospital. The dialogue from the team members seems like its what Patrick thinks they would say. Especially when the guy says to lisbon about them two dating when he says " thats a shame " lol just a theory that i hope is true . But it did have a dream weird feel to it

SPOILERS, SPOILERS, SPOILERS

If you haven't seen the RJ episode, you best be avoiding this site right about now, if you're afraid of spoilers.

Okay, I slept on it and I realized a few things:

1)Jane knew it would be McAllister (foresight about pidgeon/fears), which was a cool, clever twist.

2)The pidgeon was fitting because it's a magician's trick -- the reason magicians use doves (which are white pidgeons) is because they "sleep" and act dead when they are in the dark -- almost undetectable

3) He is Mar -- We should come up with a million of these, but some possible ones could be "He is Mar-shall" "He is Man-iac" which could be anyone.

4) They played this out as the anti-"Strawberries and Cream." After sleeping on my disappointment, I realized that they didn't want people to just say that they ripped of the Timothy Carter episode (Really die-hard fans wouldn't care, that's why we tune in!!!).

So, they did the opposite -- made the team immobile and impotent, set it in he light of day, set it in real time, no resources (just Jane's brain and everyday objects), RJ is no Timothy Carter, just the jerk (not even creep, too high of praise) next door who wants to be appreciated for his "genius."

Okay, so they played it simple, few frills, Jane's brain only, mundane, not over the top.  One could say it was realistic and elegant.  One could say that, but I think it's like what happened to The Office season 8 or the Seinfeld finale (which were crap) -- they went for the counter-expectation, the bait and switch.  The writers got too writerly, they only talked amongst themselves without looking at it from our perspective.

Hmmm . . . what would the audience not expect?  Was their clarion call.

 -- Jane in a church
 -- impotent team
-- low tech revenge: bird and choking
-- daylight, quotidian locales, soft begging RJ with no real insights to reveal other than the plea for life "Don't you wanna know how I got the list?"
-- Calling 911 instead of Blake or Visualize cronies

In the end, did the audience just want something the didn't expect? Or did we want Timothy Carter in a different incarnation?  Our collective backlash should give you the answer.  Yes, we wanted the chain-pulling of each Season Finale and RJ episode to finally come to an end, but not JUST to come to an end.

It's like a bride who decides to cut off all of her hair and dye it red right before her wedding and then gets upset and pissed off when her groom is shocked and disappointed.  He IS surprised, but not necessarily in a good way.  That's just how it feels, Bruno Heller.

Please give us a Partridge alternative ending (online webisode, in the least) -- Haffner, Mashburn, Styles, Linus Wagner, etc. alternative endings  a la Clue movie -- just to show how it would have played out, even if they don't fit with the rest of the new season.  We have been your loyal fans, please be loyal to us.

In a SLY WAY -  A song by Frank Sinatra

And now, the end is near
And so we face the final chapter
My friends, t'was never clear, I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
we were fed, a bunch of lies, red herrings in each and every highway
And more, much more than this, it was a mind game.

Regrets, more than a few
But then again, too much to mention
I did, what I had to do, and saw it through, without comprehension
He never planned, each charted course, each careful step, along the byway
And more, much more than this, he did it in a sly way

Yes, there were times, we were sure he knew
When he bit off, more than he could chew
But through it all, what Heller spout
we ate it up and spat it out
we watched it all, he dropped the ball, and did it ina sly way

I've puked, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, of serial losers
And now, as tears subside, I find it all, so, amusing
To think he called 911, And may I say, not ina tough guyway
Oh, no, oh, no, not him, the pigeons flies his way
For what is a serial killer, what has he got?If not his knife, then he has naught
To do the things he truly feels and not the wussy of one who kneels
The record shows, Heller's episode blows and the pigeon flies away.

I read these on IMDB and I approve of this messages:

"..Patrick Jane is responsible for the death of Ray Haffner and Brett Stiles.

He brought four people, none of whom he knew for certain were guilty of anything, in the vicinity of a serial killer, knowing fully well that the situation could potentially get explosive

Yeah, he didn't detonate the bomb. But he might as well have. Little did Ray Haffner know what fate had in store for him at Jane's house. He probably had plans for the day. Maybe he was going to spend some time with, I don't know, his wife and daughter? As for Stiles, some of you might argue he wasn't a saint, but really, what did he really do that made him deserving of being blown to smithereens? I don't remember anything, except that he swindled a lot of people.

So yeah, I hold him responsible for the death of two innocent people. Thoughts?"

I'm glad you brought this up. I thought I was the only one who hated Jane for doing that.

If I have to be brutally honest, I'll be and say this - Jane is a disgusting human being. He's a hypocrite, a selfish man with no respect for anyone who breaks his own set of rules and morals, and he never ever considers anyone better than him. He was even worse before RJ killed his family, because he was a thief, and he preyed on poor, broken widows and people who lost their loved ones. I don't care if that was all his jerk father's fault, he made his own choices.

I can't even imagine that kind of person finding a person to fully love, especially such a pure, beautiful person like his wife. He's an egotistical jerk with delusions of grandeur no less than RJ.

So, we have this truly evil person (RJ) who has no redemptive qualities, and he did deserve to die BUT Jane was not the one to talk. At this point, jane disgusts me even more.

And what pisses me off even more, is that the writers never acknowledge how bad Jane truly is. Sure, they portrait him like a not-so-good guy, but they still seem to justify everything he does because he has the right to.

No, Jane, you're not the only one whose families and loved ones got killed by RJ and you're not the only one with the right to kill him, but you still thought so. So, F you, you selfish prick!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Stiles and Haffner] aren't the only people he has gotten killed in his pursuit for vengeance. The list is very long. Frankly, he doesn't seem to even care.

Don't get me wrong. I love Patrick Jane, but we the viewers are so sympathetic to his cause that we have disregarded the lives that he has indirectly taken.

New tweets from @jimmygadd (editor):

"Hey Mentalistas! Happy RJ Sunday!!! I had nothing to do with tonight's show, but for those who haven't seen it already, enjoy!"

"Who made the video, "Hitler's reaction to Red John episode?" It was really funny! Can someone send me a link of it?"

https://twitter.com/jimmygadd

The first tweet seems to confirm that the leak is real, but the second one seems really weird, as he is basically insulting his own show.

It's still possible this is all part of some big, elaborate scheme I guess.
