Bit left field but.. Bob Kirklands twin brother michael is red john. Kirkland told jane about his brother in the episode kirkland died. Why would have kirkland killed that guy in the hospital who knew something about red john in season 5 ep18, if he was supposedly looking for red john himself. When he said "have you ever seen my face before", he was checking whether he knew he was red john. That must have been his twin brother, he would easily get any information needed by posing as his powerful fbi agent identical brother. We were even told by Kirkland that he and his brother were abused as a child, so damaged enough to be RJ. Means he sort of was on janes list, just wrong brother.

Not nit picking at all (because Xander Berkley would be a good RJ), but he's 59 years old in the real world.....compared to Plotnick, Corrigan etc who are 44/45?

I was 16 in 1988, and I'm 41 now. That's almost a 20 year split if they're talking 'young man at the barn' painting the face. If the sherrif is RJ (still not sure they would show pigeons in the church, his face going through the glass etc in the promo - KNOWING people would dissect every inch of that promo) - he couldn't have been the 'young man' at the barn in 1988.

Which means the young man wasn't RJ, but a witness etc?

Anyway, just thinking out loud. I would hope they resolve questions like this though - should Macallister be confirmed as RJ (still doubt it though)

I think bob kirkland is still aive, Red john was posing as bob kirkland or bob kirkland knew his brother was red john, Why every time when he killed someone he asked Do I LOOK Familiar !! Because his twin Brother is red John!!!  
Also whats with Scene when Jane drops his cup and taps the Arm of the agent. He did this in past before when he hypnotized people before , Was that a trigger! dropping cup
