LATEST THEORIES

In S05E08, Red Sails In The Sunset, we see Bob Kirkland make a phone call while (from memory) he is standing in Lisbon's office. He is calling with a person called Tom and the call is about getting the Marshalls involved into the case at hand.

Remember Jared Renfrew? In S01E11, Red John's Friends, the clue left for Jane by Jared Renfrew, written in blood on the bathroom wall, is: 'He Is Mar'. Main theory on this clue is that Renfrew was trying to write 'He Is Marshall' but that he succumbed to his wounds while writing the message.

I believe that this call between Kirkland and "Tom" is the follow-up to this hint. Kirkland is actually calling Sheriff Thomas McAllister (who goes by the nickname Tom), and that this was one of the direct hints dropped in Season 5 (which went quite overlooked as I can't find anything on it) about Red John's identity. One of the earliest hints that Red John is in fact Thomas McAllister.

(I've rewatched all of the Mentalist episodes in the past few weeks and this was one of the bigger things I've noticed)

Been watching the new show "jessica jones" on netflix...
And the villian can make anyone he wants do whatever he wants just by asking...
Still dont know how but he doesnt seem to have powers...

ANYWAY...this dude and what this dude does would of been fucking PERFECT FOR RED JOHN!!!!
A guy who can make anyone do as he pleases at will? Kill Bosco? Sure kill janes family? Sure why not?
Make kristina freye into a vegetable? Just takes one sentence..
God i am still mad haha

HOLY SHIT!!!! OH MY FUCKING GOOOOOOODDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!! I have just come to an epiphany. I am huge Bond fan. This last one Spectre kind of let me down. BUUUUUUUUTTTTT, then I had a FUCKING INCREDIBLE thought. (If you haven't seen the movie, PLEASE PLEEEEAASE SEE the movie so you can be mind BLOWN like me. All I'll say here (I'll elaborate more later) is that what they did with Christoph Waltz is EXAAAAACTLY what the Red John story. BUUUUUTTTTT, why am I not that mad, it's because they did TWO FUCKING THINGS DIFFERENTLY!!!!!! AND that makes HUUUGGE FUCKING DIFFRENCE.
I'm such a busy workaholic, so I won't have time to clarify in depth for a several days. I'm sure most you are probably thinking DA FUQ?!!, so if you still haven't seen the movie, PLEEEAASE, see it. Trust me it'll be worth it if only for getting legitimate, concrete closure on Red John. (Cant help with My Blue Heaven - White Orchids. Let's face it, even you Stoopkid, that was GAH-BAGE! Literally, that was just filler, escapist TV)
So, just give me till the end of the week, to share my article regarding the insanely coherent, connection between Waltz villian (won't say his name) and Red John. And The Blake Association (which I liked, I know you all hated) and SPECTRE. And some thoughts, realizations, and most importantly closure. So as I said, please go see the movie this week, so you can be part of the discussion and get closure like I have with Red John. Thank you all.

Great series, but the last seasons were awful. FBI? Can't suspend disbelief on that.
If I were to pick a number one Red John candidate, then it would have to be Rigsby. His father was a biker dirt bag, he fell in love with the redhead, he says things that are out of character, and he is, like someone else said, a classically trained actor. There could be no better choice!
If one were to watch the episode where he is on an island with the cbi team solving a murder, then one could see how Rigsby could be a great Red John.

Well ... it really was the sheriff ... But... Am i the only one who thinks that it doesn't make any sense?
I continued to watch the show until it's end but i honestly think everyone in this ("who is red john?") comunity put more thought into the whole red john thing than the writers of Mentalist.

There were too many things left to explain, too many things didn't make any sense and... lets be honest... There were several candidates more probable than the sheriff ... Stiles, Kirkland, Partridge, Bertram, Brenda, Royston Daniels, Mashburn, Rosalind, Van Pelt, Lisbon, Volker,  Minelli...
All of these had reasons to be suspects and, at least, half of them were better candidates than the sheriff...

Do you agree? what are the things you think were left to explain? What was the better candidate?
Any theories that make more sense than this "sheriff" conclusion?

Whats up everybody!
Long time no see

So i havent seen Simon Baker in an shows or movies so i bet he is taking time off with his family...
But just like Brett Favre who retired like 12 times and came back to football, Baker is gonna get bored and have that itch for acting again...
Maybe hell have other roles...maybe not..
But the fanbase is still very much alive and devoted..
If a new network wants to throw some money Bakers way to bring back the Mentalist,
You think he will take it?

People swear up and down the show is done and it most likely is...
But this is Hollywood and money can do magical things sometimes...

"So Simon, how about we bring the Mentalist back, this time with no Cbs or Bruno Heller calling the shots"
What do you say??..
