Alright, here's my list of tv shows that I've seen. I could write an essay about some of these shows but I simply don't have the time so I just put my overall opinion of it. As belle beautifully said, "At this point we can only win." (A statement of colossal depth that should be written in gold. Think about what it means and what it refers to)

*Game of Thrones - episode 9 of this season is called "The Dance of Dragons". nuff said *Mad Men - series finale this Sunday. it was truly one of a kind. (I like The Mentalist more but I'm sure it'll have a better series finale. One that is coherent with the original seasons) (not comparing, I know that they are apples and oranges, simply stating the obvious) *24 - favorite show of all time, started watching in 2002. Last 3 seasons were weak, but live another day  was great. Plus season 5 is arguably the greatest season of television in general.*Hannibal - can't wait till Stoopkid's reviews *Person of Interest -  hope season 5 isn't the last one.(it got a 13 episode order) There are no words to describe this show. *Da Vinci's Demons - lots of mystery and intrigue with good visuals and performances *Banshee - intense actions with an amazing performance from the lead actor *Vikings - very promising *The Good Wife - I know, I used to hate it to. The first 4 seasons weren't that good. Then came Season 5. *Fargo - beautiful, just beautiful *Sherlock - wish there was more. we get roughly 4.5 hours of content every 2 years *Fringe - it was truly something *Heroes - got worse every season but the mini-series this fall looks really good *Suits - last 2 seasons became a sex-drama, but hey, there's nothing really wrong with that. Plus the plot is still fresh and unpredictable *Nikita - awesome *Breaking Bad - what can I say, that has not been said about it *Better Call Saul -  by the time it has reached Season 5, it will probably be equivalent to Breaking Bad *Homeland - it has its ups and downs, but the realism is really attractive *House of Cards - so maddeningly great, redefines the word addiction *The Blacklist - Oh this one was a shock. used to laugh at this show, now it's GREAT! *Daredevil - better than Batman Begins and I'm like the biggest Batman fan of all time. Seriously, My God!, This came out of nowhere *Continuum - God, this show is amazing. Where do I even begin. Everything about this show is perfection. How they balance science fiction with politics grounded in realism is astounding. Most of the actors on that show is giving the performance of a lifetime *Arrow - amazing superhero-comic-book tv show. this season has been weak but overall this show is fantastic *The Flash - too much greatness. I'll just say this, "Some would say I'm the reverse" *Agents of Shield - started of slow, but now it's great *Agent Carter - WOW *Elementary - generic case to case formula but Johnny Lee Miller is brilliant along with Lucy Liu. I hear Moriarty will be back next season to spice things up a bit.*White Collar - used to hate it to, then I binged the whole show (Oceans 11, Catch me If you Can, Neal Caffrey in White Collar.  it ain't no Mentalist season 7. *Burn Notice - I mean its Michael Weston so come on *Psych - are the two lead actors aliens in disguise? How can you act so well together? *Monk - it's a jungle out there *Spartacus - BAD ASS *Prison Break - last few seasons weren't that good but season 1 was fantastic *The Americans - My god, can this show get any better *Gotham - somewhat entertaining, but it has a lot of Bruno Heller's stupidity. Every arch besides the Penguin's is flawed.*The Walking Dead - original seasons were good, now meh but I sense a promising future *The Following - panned, cancelled, vulgar, trash overall but the Ryan-Joe relationship was beyond captivating *Covert Affairs - Season 4 makes it worth the watch. along with some of season 3 and 5.*Lost - have good memories of the first few seasons *The Fall - superb acting along with a great serial killer arch *Rectify - wondrous slow, deep drama about life *Chuck - perfect blend of humor and action along with lovable characters *Alias - weren't the first 2 seasons good? *Supernatural - has a lot of bad episodes but it's worth it because of the two lead characters *Marco Polo - great netflix show *True Detective - the show has presidential acclaim, what more do you want? *Castle - at-least the relationship between the two leads is the by far the best relationship on television ever. unlike jane/lisbon. (forced due to pressure/cancellation) plus the 3xk arch  was more consistent in quality than Red John. granted red john was greater but 3xk left me satisfied and that's what elevates it AND what matters the most.*Dexter - like The Mentalist the few seasons sucked, the first 4... were beyond flawless *Smallville - a lot of the episodes were forgettable, but I'm glad I saw the whole thing because there were a few fabulous seasons. *shows that only had 1 season (Stalker - had a good serial killer arch while it lasted, Awake - great premise, flopped in the end, Almost Human - had so much potential, The White Queen, Camelot

Someone here mentioned how the ending of PLL [in Season 5] was everything that The Mentalist SHOULD have been.  So, I just finished 4th season of Pretty Little Liars and so far, it's pretty damn good -- they explain a great deal of the questions, but still leave the mystery of who the "mastermind villain" really is, to be revealed at the end of Season 5.

Boy, The Mentalist people should have watched PLL and taken notes!!  [Or at least taken some writing classes.]

PLL revolves around teen girls, which I wouldn't normally watch, and parts of Season One seemed like soft porn for lesbians BUT I kept watching because…the suspense and mystery are very intriguing, and become more complicated as the story unravels.

PLL has twists and turns, mysterious characters, an anyone-could-be-the-villain feel, a plethora of clues and the use of classic literature and film --- which [unlike The Mentalist ] pays homage in clever and nuanced ways, especially to Hitchcock and film noir, and the references are built in naturally, they WORK in the plot, as backdrop, adding dimension and symbolism quite well.  Some are out front, tongue in cheek, like the "Rear Window Brew" coffeehouse and some are so subtle, you realize later -- like the french poster in Mr. Fitz's apartment.  But so far, they all work, which is how it ought to be!!

Heller compared RJ to "Moby Dick" and "Moriarty" and then basically gives us a disgruntled guy from the post office who probably lives with his mother.  I mean --- if Heller felt McAllister was the best choice, FINE, but don't fucking calling him Jane's "MORIARTY," okay?!

Hats off to all the hardworking shows like PLL, True Detective, The Killing, Secrets & Lies….delivering quality entertainment without insulting our intelligence.  When it comes to The Mentalist, we were "conned."

Well there were many things that were kind of strange so i hope maybe you could help me. Just watched the last episode and was kind of shocked that thats supposed to be the end....wasnt realy a good end to me but nevermind....my actual question is....there was one scene where Kirkland is in his office and his putting janes map together and he mixes himself a red drink with a celery in it and there i had to think about what red jonhs misstress said: I wonder that you didnt become best friends when you shook his hand because you are so similar....i remeber also an episode where jane drank that same drink....and i dont believe in conincidents at least not in tv shows. And also the fact that Kirkland killed the only guy who knew Red John in the Hospital and if he realy was hunting him why did he kill him? Besides that, in which way was jane and Mc Allester similar? And also that this weirdo was tapping all of their phones....i doubt that he would have the skills to just listen to FBI agents. Next to that when Bertram was in the Church and was about to shoot Jane he said that he didnt know Red John and that he was a high ranked member...i dont see a point in lying to a man that i am certain to kill in a few moments. So i would realy appreciate if someone help me with that

Hey, why don't we use this website as a forum for general media entertainment. I don't think it's healthy anymore to discuss Red John. Plus we've been doing it for the better part of a decade now. We can use this website to discuss other tv shows, movies, etc. Stuff that we like. Cuz I'm pretty sure The Mentalist is gone for good. (It's how all tv ahows are. When the series finale approaching they say, "Oh we'll do this, we'll return with this - but it never happens. Yes it did, with Breaking Bad, 24 and Heroes but for every one of them there are 10 who didn't. And those were different cases in so many ways. The hope for The Mentalist to return is sort of becoming like the hope of RJ related stuff to appear post 6x08 and we all know how that turned out.) Anyway, I think this is the best direction to take for this website. Cuz I see only 2 other options. 1.) It goes to waste like a junkyard. 2.) Or every now and then a comment might come, maybe by a Red John fan, or just a troll; which I think would be pathetic and depressing. We can obviously come back to Red John at times but constantly discussing and talking about it is seriously fatuous. Let me know what you think the usual way (green-agree/red-disagree).

Just saw Banshee last night. The way Hood took down Chayton was literally how Jane took down McAllister. (with tid bit of gus fring also) For the first time in years, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2 FUCKING YEARS, do I slightly tiny bit understand Red John/McAllister. Well... Actually not, it was more like mixing timothy carter's demise with McAllister's and the gus fring finale. However, I do feeel a little different. Maybe Red John got sloppy towards the end of his rein. As we studied on this website before, Red John has changed his killing method numerous times throughout the course of the show. In the end, it's as simple as this. We have assume that 6x08 happened because if not, DA FUQ?. Red John hypnotized McAllister (BA member), and gave him to Jane so he could get closure and got away with his crimes. TELL ME ONE OTHER EXPLANATION THAT WORKS BESIDES THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Other then McAllister being Red John ofcourse, because in the end trolls and little ugly worms can say whatever the fuck their shitty hearts want, but that won't affect us cuz we're above such low-level scum. We (original fans) will never accept Red John as McAllister. EVEN SIMON FUCKING BAKER WASNT HAPPY WITH RED JOHN BEING MCALLISTER. HE WAS THE HAPPY WITH THE WAY HE KILLED HIM BUT NOT THE IDENTITY. As well as many reviewers from various websites. Many of you might have watched some videos of Americ on the Happy Cool youtube channel. Although he is arguably the #1 jisbon fan on earth, he just revealed in his final mentalist review/qa on youtube that he hated the red john reveal amd HATED THE SHIT OUT OF LAZARUS. He loved the story, the RED JOHN story, and thats why EVERYBODY AND I MEAN EVERY FUCKING PERSON KEPT WATCHING THE SHOW. IT WAS THE REASON WHY IT RECIEVED UNIVERSAL ACCLAIM THROUGHOUT ITS FIRST 5 SEASONS. IT WAS THE REASON WHY IT WAS WATCHED BY SEVERAL TENS OF MILLIONS EVERY WEEK AND RECIEVED WIDESPREAD APPLUAD FROM NUMEROUS ASSOCIATIONS. But it flopped in the end, arguably like most shows do so oh well. It is not anger of how Bruno Heller finished the Red John arc that brings me here anymore. It was at first. I'm sure everyone was angry. But you know what, I've gotten over that like other aspects of life. You eventually get over them. I've recently been coming here for the following reasons. 1.) admiration for a few commenters 2.) Appreciate this site in general 3.) its fun

However the time has come, for me at-least, that I must move on. This website and The Mentalist (the Red John part) has entertained me tremendously and gave me great enjoyment and pleasure. Now there are many other tv shows, movies and other forms of art to enjoy. As well as other adventures in life that each and every one of us should strive for and enjoy. I mean, I thought to myself, maybe I can still check this site occasionally and that'd be great but everything in life and I truly mean everything has a beginning and an end. And for me this is the end. Roll tide.

Open letter to Bruno Heller,

I stared at a blank page with just a heading for over an hour, not knowing how to start, not knowing if I should curse you or pity you. There are no words to describe the frustration I feel after 7 years of dedication to your show, I don't believe Webster even has a word that powerful.I have to say, I stopped watching this clownish festival you called a reboot mid-way through the last season, I just couldn't handle it anymore; the finale? I haven't seen it and will not, what I've read around the web was more than enough.
Honestly, as an executive producer, do you deem yourself illegible to play with people's minds like that? Have you any idea of the level of damage 5 years of clues have done to the followers of your show? I'm not talking about your facebook fansite cheering for Jisbon (we will revisit that later), have you even a clue how much information websites like whoisredjohn.com and thementalist.wikia.com contain? 20000+ theories combined that prove this show had an amazing potential, something no other show ever had or can have. The initial idea was brilliant, at the end of
Season 3 I gave you a hats-off for being a genius; and even though I agree with most that 'Strawberries & Cream' is the best RedJohn ending ever I was wishing for more, back then I was hoping it wasn't him and kept wanting more.
Then, irrationally, began the pour-down of clues on the audience; clues
coming in left and right with such focus on them they left everyone in awe, scratching their brains and revisiting previous episodes endlessly to make the right connections. You might say it's our fault for focusing so much, I'll just answer that it wouldn't have been the case if you wouldn't have focused the camera so much on all those clues. I will not bother myself mentioning all the clues, you know them one by one, that culminated in 06x08.
'Red John' was so badly handled I simply dropped my jaw throughout the entire episode, from the lousy scripts all the actors were following to the pigeon trick (is that seriously fitting for such a story?). Nothing made sense and a tear in the universe wouldn't have fixed my jaw back in place at that moment.
Despite the ending to probably the greatest ark ever designed, and the lack of connection to all the carefully crafted clues you have given us; most fans including myself made up our own endings and resigned ourselves that you're just a producer with a lousy submissive personality who had to give in to Roth and his network. We decided to put all the red herrings, the Black Association and RedJohn behind us and waited for your reboot. What we didn't know is the level of lowliness you would reach, as if it was made on purpose to systematically shatter your fan-base and replace it with mindless sheep (yes, sheep).
The supposed reboot started with mentions of the BA to never again be used again (please do bold, underline, emphasize the word 'never'), then you have enjoyed sending us cryptic messages via Baker's script and some red colors here and there (again, carefully placed and specifically camera focused). WHY Bruno? Here's what I really think of your reboot and 'encore' season:
- All the reasons for admitting Jane into the FBI were never mentioned again.
- Marcus Pike (again using a cryptic screen name) had a huge potential yet was a total flop.
- The entire reboot was focused on a romance between Jane and Lisbon, this was clear from the beginning, yet I never imagined it would be that pathetic.
- What kind of a romance is that where Lisbon says 'I love you' and Jane looks away with a silly smile on his face instead of kissing her; are we witnessing real life here or a TV show? The chemistry between those two was clearly close to zero and it was as obvious as a slap on the face.
- Obvious? Maybe not for your sheep, you know those fans cheering the awesome(?) love story on facebook daily.
- Lazarus.. epic fail. Again, huge potential to give a closure, I'm baffled and speechless at your stupidity. All those fans who filled up your pockets throughout those years deserved something else

Bruno, I do hope someday you realize that; and I can tell you that no fans are ever going to follow you again, not to Gotham and not anywhere else (yet apparently you care only about the sheep so please keep them).I do apologize to the 'sheep' reading this, if anyone feels offended kindly understand this show had something you probably won't ever see and was destroyed by money hungry megalomaniacs.
This is an honest rant Bruno, coming from an ex-fan who has literally wasted days and weeks following your show. I personally hope you choke on all the money you made tricking people.
